The research record

What we reviewed.
What changed.

A newer page date does not make every underlying observation new. This log separates research additions and material corrections from the older Google and registry snapshots. It records our review; it does not claim the date a company changed its services.

A deeper Kansas City model.

The responsibility study reviews 69 distinct pages across the same 12 included firms, producing 156 observations in 13 fields. It adds explicit scope questions, project-role evidence, warranty boundaries and source limitations to each profile. The original ranking inputs, scores and order remain unchanged.

The focused pool recheck revisits 13 historical exclusions. Current sources qualify the older Generational geography and Classic residential-scope reasons; neither finding is a refreshed review-floor check. The other 27 exclusions were not rechecked in that pass.

A nine-jurisdiction source guide, saved comparison, project brief, bid worksheet and company evidence workbench make the research usable in a buying or publishing conversation.

October 2, 2026 / regional extension

The Kansas City model extends to twelve markets.

The regional library adds Topeka, Wichita, Springfield, Columbia, St. Louis, Des Moines, Omaha, Tulsa, Oklahoma City, Northwest Arkansas and Dallas–Fort Worth. The expanded directory includes five additional KC research entries. These new records are alphabetical and unranked.

The regional responsibility study and local matrices use the same thirteen-field method. A company keeps one evidence record across its researched markets. The owner worksheet, comparison and source downloads use the same records. This release does not refresh the original KC formula’s Google or registry inputs.

Company profiles and advertised scope.

Twelve company profiles and the advertised-scope study separated four full-home, five structural or unconfirmed-finish, one custom-project and two package/design roles in the included sample. These are advertised categories, not quality rankings or audited contract scopes.

Eligibility and formula corrections.

Revision 2026-Q3-r2 corrected five eligibility errors, unsupported scope classifications and scoring documentation. The published formula explains the weights, missing-input treatment and editorial assumptions. Google and registry observations remain dated September 27.

How to use this log.
